“I don’t have time.”
You probably say it every week, think it even more. We’re all so busy!
Here’s the thing: When you say this phrase, you deny responsibility for the way you spend your time. The fault is not with your decisions; it’s this other thing that’s out of your control.
As a person working toward your Plan A Life, you certainly can’t blame Father Time for your problems! Living an uncluttered life means making deliberate decisions about what you allow into your life, including those “have to” items like work and paying taxes. (You don’t “have to” do anything, despite the old saying.)
In today’s episode, we explore the reasons behind the phrase, “I don’t have time,” as well as how to reframe your thinking through a simple, 3-step process called cognitive reframing (you’ll get that in the free resource guide).
As with everything we teach at An Uncluttered Life, it all boils down to personal choice. You can choose to own your decisions and be thoughtful about them, or you can let your assumptions and reactions determine your direction in life.
Which one will you pick?
